BREAKING: Dyker students being relocated in wake of wall collapse
Students from Dyker Intermediate School, I.S. 201, at 12th Avenue and 80th Street, will be relocated to nearby schools after the school was closed following the collapse of a window into a fourth floor classroom on Monday, April 20.
According to State Senator Marty Golden, as of Wednesday, April 22, sixth and seventh graders are to report to Fort Hamilton High School, 8301 Shore Road, entering on Shore Road, and eighth graders are to report to New Utrecht High School, 1601 80th Street, entering on 80th Street.
All students should report to the new locations at 8 a.m., where, said Golden, “They will meet their teachers and grade assistant principals. Yellow bus service will be provided as usual.”
