Animal Care & Control of NYC receives $50,000 grant
Animal Care and Control of NYC (AC&C), a non-profit animal rescue organization, received a $50,000 grant from the Petco Foundation in order to fund a much-needed placement vehicle – one that will help transport animals to new homes.
According to AC&C, since its recent launch in February, the vehicle has transported an estimated 150 cats and dogs from AC&C shelters to volunteer foster homes throughout the five boroughs, where the animals can get ready for adoption.
The Petco Foundation grant for the new placement vehicle is helping AC&C move more animals – the organization takes in approximately 30,000 each year – from AC&C shelters to foster homes.
