NYPD nabs suspect in child abuse incidents

A suspect has been arrested in a pair of child abuse incidents in Bensonhurst.

Guillermo Tambriz, 21, who lives just down the block from where the incidents took place, was arrested on Wednesday, March 11, and charged with two counts of attempted sexual abuse and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17 years old.

Tambriz is suspected of attacking two minors, one an 11-year-old girl walking near 16th Avenue and 66th Street on Wednesday, March 4. He allegedly approached her and grabbed her crotch before fleeing the scene.

On Tuesday, March 10 at 7:20 a.m., cops allege that Tambriz approached a 14-year-old female, also near 16th Avenue and 66th Street, and grabbed her thigh before once again fleeing the scene.
