VT Salon and Spa celebrates larger space

Bigger is better!

On Wednesday, January 21, Violette Tonuzi (VT) Salon and Day Spa held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the growth of the booming business. Last month, the beauty salon expanded, taking over the space next door, which was formally a barbershop.

The full service salon and spa specializes in color, cuts, massage facials, waxing and spray tanning,

The entire staff of over 15 was in attendance for the celebration and was happy to discuss VT’s past and current success.

“I’m so excited to be offering more services,” said co-owner Violette Tonuzi “The staff is growing, our sources are growing and our client base is growing.”

Tonuzi also mentioned the excitement the locals have expressed regarding the upgrade. “They’re so excited and supportive,” she noted. “They’ve been asking for it. People are walking in and asking for menus. We’ve lost some clients in past years because we were limited in our service but now we could get them back.”

Although VT has expanded, the establishment has been a Bay Ridge staple, being a part of Third Avenue for 30 years. “We’re very committed to Bay Ridge,” said Tonuzi. “It’s been a great three decades. I love watching the neighborhood grow. It’s evolving into this really great area to live in and I’m so glad to be witnessing it because I’ve been waiting for a long time. We’re proud to be able to service the community.”
