De Blasio: NYC schools closed Tuesday due to blizzard

All New York City schools will be closed on Tuesday due to the massive snowstorm heading to the area.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says Regents exams are being canceled and will be rescheduled.

All after-school activities and programs scheduled for Monday also have been canceled.

The Archdiocese of New York, which covers Staten Island, Manhattan and the Bronx, says their schools also will be closed Tuesday.

It says schools in other counties within the Archdiocese of New York will follow their local school districts. Those schools are in Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Rockland, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan counties.
