Is that Santa — or Spider-Man — scaling the wall?

Christmas Is Coming, The Goose Is Getting Fat — and Brooklyn Heights homeowners are starting to decorate the façades of their jaw-dropping historic properties.

Much of what’s on display is understated, such as sleigh bells on a stair railing, ribbon-trimmed wreaths and window boxes filled with Yuletide holly. Tasteful. Terrific, even. But fun? Nope.

News for those who live, work and play in Brooklyn and beyond

So it buoys our spirits to see that at least one household in the neighborhood is willing to embrace whimsy as the holiday draws near.

Gravitas is our middle name. But we say Three cheers for Santa Baby!

With winter setting in, there is seasonal eye candy of all sorts to be seen in Brooklyn Heights.

For instance, when sudden bursts of sunshine light up purple storm clouds, the views from the Promenade take on an otherworldly quality
