Dyker Heights celebrates the holiday spirit once again with lights
Nothing says the holidays are upon us for Brooklynites quite like the annual Dyker Heights Christmas Lights. Touring the festive blocks, which span from 10th Avenue to 13th Avenue in the 80s, has become quite the popular tradition. From Thanksgiving on, locals and tourists from around the country alike take a drive or walk to observe and snap photos of the impressive and elaborately decorative houses.
Over the years, children and adults have enjoyed displays such as the Nutcracker, Santa, reindeer and more. There are even giveaways, such as candy canes.
Trees are brightly lit, along with the houses. And on select days, St. Nick and other beloved characters can be seen outside some of the most elaborately decorated homes.
