Brooklyn Today

Greetings, Brooklyn. Today is the 324th day of the year.

ON THIS DAY in 1913, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle published an article titled “His Family Voted From Harden House in Carroll Fight.”
The article was about a former state senator who was charged with political conspiracy.
“Former state Sen. Thomas C. Harden, of the Eastern District, spent a few uncomfortable minutes in the witness chair today at the trial of his political rival, Sen. Daniel J. Carroll, on a charge of political conspiracy…” the Eagle reported. Harden had his family vote for his district when they did not live there.
