The three girls, aged 12 to 13 at the time, several years ago, are daughters of a female coworker who lived at the Fort Hamilton Army Base in Brooklyn. The alleged abuse came to light when one of the girls reported the abuse to a counselor. Bonifaz admitted, verbally and in a written statement to FBI agents, to abusing one of the alleged victims.

Bonifaz faces at least 10 years in prison if convicted.
