Gravesend Inn opens its doors once again

Prepare to be scared!! City Tech’s high-tech haunted hotel, The Gravesend Inn, returns again this year to the Voorhees Theatre, 186 Jay Street (north of Tillary), in Downtown Brooklyn, from October 23 to November 1.

The Gravesend Inn is produced by Theatreworks, City Tech’s resident theatrical troupe. With design, construction and operating support provided by students and faculty of the college’s nationally unique Entertainment Technology Department, this theme-park-quality Halloween attraction has been thrilling children and adults alike since 2000.

Tickets are $8, general admission, $5 for students with ID and group sales. Tickets are free to all City Tech students with City Tech ID the day of performance. Not advisable for pre-school age children. Make reservations online at; click on “get tickets.”

The Gravesend Inn will be open Thursday, October 23, from 1 to 5 p.m.; Friday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, October 25, from 1-5 p.m.  and 6-9 p.m.; Thursday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.; Friday, October 31, from 10 a.m.  to 3 p.m.  and 6 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday, November 1, from 1 to 5 p.m.  and 6-9 p.m.
