In anticipation of the first professional football game played in Brooklyn since 1944, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Councilmember Mark Treyger and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce President Carlo Scissura welcomed the Brooklyn Bolts in a special ceremony at Borough Hall.
The Bolts, who play in the Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) and are co-owned by the league and Mets COO Jeff Wilpon, will play their first game on Wednesday night at MCU Park in Coney Island, the summer home of the Brooklyn Cyclones.
The Brooklyn Daily Eagle will have full coverage of the inaugural game and Bolts coverage in print and online all season long.
