NYPD seeks attempted rapist in Greenpoint attack

A woman fought off an attempted rapist early Sunday morning in Greenpoint and police have released a video of the suspect in the hopes that someone recognizes him.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned man with dark hair in his 20s, wearing T-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers.

He allegedly grabbed the 25-year-old woman from behind at around 2:56 a.m. on Sunday, September 28, pushing her up against a wall at the corner of Morgan and Driggs Avenue and attempting to rape her.

The woman fought him off by biting his arm.

The suspect was caught on video sprinting away from the scene.
