Former science teacher Omil Carrasquillo, 36, has been charged with five counts each of first- and second-degree sexual abuse and seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly groping and fondling five female students who were between the ages of nine and 11 years old between October 31, 2013 and September 18, 2014.

Carrasquillo taught at P.S. 249 at 18 Marlborough Road, where the assaults reportedly occurred. He faces up to 35 years in prison just on the sexual abuse charges and is being held on bail of $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash.
