All-Star Season comes to Brooklyn, Barclays Center

This is the patch the Brooklyn Nets will wear on their home jerseys next season in honor of the All-Star Game festivities at Barclays Center next February

 It will be an All-Star Season in Brooklyn as the Nets launch a variety of unique initiatives in celebration of NBA All-Star 2015 at Barclays Center.

All-Star in Brooklyn starts now and runs through the All-Star events at Barclays Center, on Friday, Feb.13 and Saturday, Feb. 14.

“We are proud to embrace NBA All-Star by turning the Nets season into an All-Star Season in Brooklyn,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center. “While basketball is at the heart of All-Star, we are expanding upon the All-Star experience like never before to include elements such as merchandise, food, and exercise. We are excited to build anticipation and prepare the ‘Borough of Basketball’ for its first All-Star season.”

To launch All-Star Season in Brooklyn, the Nets will feature a customized All-Star Brooklyn logo that will be placed on the baselines of the court at Barclays Center through All-Star. The players will also wear a customized All-Star Brooklyn patch on their jerseys during home games leading up to All-Star. In addition, the logo and patch will be featured on a special line of merchandise at the Nets Lifestyle Shop by adidas at Barclays Center. 

Starting on Feb. 7, the renowned Barclays Center food program, BrooklynTaste, will become All-Star Taste. The menu will feature unique dishes with All-Star themed names. 

Then on the morning of Feb. 14, the Brooklyn Nets will team with SoulCycle, the country’s premier indoor cycling studio, to hold All-Star Ride by SoulCycle.  The 60-minute class will take place in the GEICO Atrium at Barclays Center, featuring All-Star celebrities, and led by Senior Master Instructor Stacey Griffith. 

The NBA All-Star events at Barclays Center begin on Friday, Feb. 13 with the league’s top rookies and second-year players participating in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge. OnSaturday, Feb. 14, Barclays Center will host the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, including NBA Shooting Stars, Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, and Sprite Slam Dunk.
