Tottenville foils Fort Hamilton at homecoming game

It may be early in the season to say that this was a “must-win” game for the 0-2 Fort Hamilton Tigers, but a win on Homecoming Day would have given the Tigers a much-needed lift to put them on the plus side to start the season. Instead, the 1-1 Tottenville Pirates brought their balanced ground and air attack to keep Fort Hamilton winless early in the 2014 football season.
Tottenville’s quarterback Josh Rainey led the Pirates’ attack to take a dominating 24-0 lead by the half. In the third quarter, Sharif Legree found Juan Tejeda on a 20-yard pass in the corner of the end zone finally to put the Tigers on the board, 24-6. But the day belonged to the Pirates as Deion Barnes quickly scored his second touchdown of the game to put Tottenville up 31-6.
