MTA bus kills woman in Brooklyn trying to retrieve cellphone

A woman in Brooklyn was killed when she was run over by an MTA bus while trying to retrieve a cellphone.
Police say the unidentified woman had dropped her cellphone while getting off the B44 bus on Bedford and Fulton avenues at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the bus driver remained at the scene.
Police are still investigating.
