Back to school made fun with Asian Community United Society
Getting the children of Brooklyn excited about the new school year was the goal during an afternoon of fun at the annual Back to School Festival, presented by non-profit organization, Asian Community United Society (ACUS) at Seth Low Park on Saturday, August 23.
Beginning at noon, children and their parents gathered the park and enjoyed music, raffles, rides, face painting and information on educational programs offered throughout the school year.
The event was sponsored by Investors Bank and Health Plus Amerigroup Real Solution. A large turnout of families enjoyed the nice weather as they waited on line for different activities as well as receive their free backpacks. Other school supplies were given away. Booths in attendance included math and reading tutoring programs as well as Health Plus, which provided both the backpacks and face painting.
