The century-old Domino Sugar refinery sign has begun to be dismantled in order to make way for the site’s redevelopment into a waterfront residential and commercial community by Two Trees Management, which will restore the sign and then re-affix it atop the newly built office tower.

The 11-acre site is being developed into a 2.9-million-square-foot, 55-plus-story complex that includes 2,300 apartments—at least 700 of them listed as “affordable”—as well as public green space and other amenities.
