Rally to take place Aug. 6 in Asser Levy Park

A Brooklyn Rally for Israel co-sponsored by Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz (D-Brooklyn) will take place Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Asser Levy Park, located at the end of Ocean Parkway near the Boardwalk.
Hundreds of Brooklyn residents are expected to show their support.
Co-sponsors include the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY), the American Forum of Russian-Speaking Jewry, RAJE, the Zionist Organization of America/Brooklyn Region, DaNu Radio 87.7 FM & 105.1 FM HD2, Emunah of America and the Jerusalem Reclamation Project.
“With Israel under the constant threat of rocket attacks, it is important that we come together as a borough and as a community to stand in solidarity for a democracy that has been an unwavering friend to the United States and a refuge for so many,” Assemblymember Cymbrowitz said.
The son of Holocaust survivors, Cymbrowitz said it is fitting that Brooklyn – home to the world’s largest Jewish population outside Israel – holds its own
“Our collective voice needs to be heard – and it’ll be heard loud and clear,” he said.
