Rashun Robinson, 29, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on a police officer for the February 26 shooting of Police Officers Jimmy Li and Randy Chow after they made him get off a B46 bus for attempting to beat the fare.

The incident occurred near Empire Boulevard and Utica Avenue at around 5 p.m. and sparked a short chase that ended with Robinson arrested on a stairwell inside a nearby Schenectady Avenue apartment building, where he was found with a .45 caliber handgun in his hand.

Robinson faces a 25-year prison term when sentenced on September 3.
