The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is pleased to announce the election of Amelia Wilson to the organization’s Board of Directors. The election took place at the Conservancy’s June 22 board meeting.

“It is our pleasure to welcome Amelia Wilson to the Conservancy’s team. Her fresh perspective, energy and enthusiasm will greatly enrich our efforts to support Brooklyn Bridge Park,” said Nancy Bowe, Chairman of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy.

Wilson resides in Brooklyn Heights and has been a Brooklyn resident for a decade. Originally from Australia, Amelia received a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Queensland University of Technology.

In 2011, she founded Armstrong Wilson Advisory, where she advises nonprofit organizations on governance, management and leadership best practices, following 12 years with the Executive Office of Goldman Sachs. Wilson is on the Board of Girls Leadership Institute, where she chairs the Governance and Nominating Committee.

An active member of the Brooklyn community, Wilson is serving on committees for the Brooklyn Kindergarten Society, the Brooklyn Public Library and the historic Plymouth Church.

“I am delighted to join the Conservancy’s board, and look forward to being a part of the effort to steward our own, world-class, Brooklyn Bridge Park.”

“Amelia brings wide-ranging expertise and interests that will complement an already dynamic board during these exciting next few years for Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Conservancy,” said Nancy Webster, Executive Director of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy.
