Brooklyn’s famed Junior’s Restaurant may anchor the borough’s tallest building, if the first round of bids is anything to go by. Already, the third-generation family that owns the two-story restaurant, known for its cheesecake, has been offered far upwards of $350 per square foot for the space, according to the New York Times.

Junior’s sits at 386 Flatbush Avenue Extension on a triangular island bordered by DeKalb Avenue, Flatbush Avenue and Fleet Street. Its neighbors are a six-story office building and a Chase bank. Developers Michael Stern and Joseph Chetrit have already purchased the air rights above the office building.

Rumors suggest that any building that rises on the site could reach around 1,000 feet.
