Pro Bono Barrister: Kings Inn closes year with June gala at Red Gravy

The Kings County Inn of Court June Gala, to be held at the Red Gravy Restaurant at 151 Atlantic Ave., is set for Monday evening, June 16. While there is no charge for members, there will be a charge for guests. Is it too late to make a reservation? The Inn has been led during the past year by President Justice Ellen Spodek. Her officers include President-Elect Dave Chidekel, Counselor Justice Arthur Schack, Treasurer Justice Miriam Cyrulnik and Secretary Jon Besunder. Immediate Past President is Marc M. Dittenhoefer. Executive Director is Jeff Feldman.

These Inns, following the practice of the ancient English Inns of Court — celebrating their 800th year of service to the profession — are governed by a Board of Masters that includes Appellate Division Justice Cheryl Chambers, Judge Joanne Quinones, Justice Carl Landicino, Federal Judge William Kuntz, Kings Criminal Court Chief Judge Barry Kamins, Appellate Division Justice Sylvia Hinds-Radix, Hon. Gloria Cohen Aronin, Lawrence DiGiovanna, Mark Longo, Steve Harkavy, Victoria Lombardi, Steve Finkelstein, Steve Goolnick, Joseph Rosato and Paul Weitz.

Steve Cohn’s Brooklyn Stars To Shine This Week at Giando’s

 

One of Brooklyn’s best parties will take place on June 17 when Steve Cohn’s Seneca Democratic Club holds its “Night of Community Stars” at Giando’s Restaurant on Water Street. There will be local stars and stars in the political world showing up that night. Look for Mayor Bill de Blasio, Sen. Chuck Schumer, Richard Goldberg, B.P. Eric Adams and many more.

Set for Monday, June 16, is a major Lawyers Helping Lawyers event, getting underway at 10 a.m. at the NYC Bar, 42 West 44th St. Featured at the 5-CLE credit session will be “Voluntary Training.”
