Cops from the 68th Precinct made a key drug bust on the evening of Thursday, May 1, seizing 486 glassine bags of heroin and $1,000 in cash after pulling over a car.

According to a police source, the officers – from the precinct’s Anti-Crime unit – smelled marijuana when they pulled the vehicle over. Upon searching the car, they discovered a hidden compartment below the glove compartment where the narcotics were stowed.

The driver – who was alone in the car, say cops – was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
