Sometimes the old and new in Bushwick look kind of odd together.

What do you think when you see these two buildings? LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENT SECTION BELOW.

This is 1075 Bushwick Ave., a fine 1890s-vintage historic home with a prime corner location. The checkered thing behind it is 64 Palmetto St.

The latter is a new apartment house called the Ocean Blue Residence. It was built by Abe Greene – the developer who built the Purple Haze building at 85 Cornelia St. that’s on our list of Brooklyn’s Ugliest Buildings. (By the way, the owner of 1075 Bushwick Ave. has a Hispanic surname, city Finance Department records indicate.)
