The popular pedestrian pathway on the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge connecting Brooklyn to the Rockaways will close weekdays for resurfacing from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Monday, April 14.

Shuttles will transport walkers and cyclists between temporary stops—denoted by bright orange signs—located on Flatbush Avenue, 300 feet south of Aviation Road, and at Rockaway Point Boulevard and Beach 169th Street.

Buses fitting eight passengers and four bicycles will run approximately every 15 minutes.

If the work goes according to plan and the weather remains dry and not humid, weekend closures will be avoided, said MTA Bridge and Tunnels Project Engineer Jaroslaw Myszczynski.
