Those jagged purple stripes could give you vertigo.

Lavender Manor is what developer Abe Greene calls the Bushwick rental-apartment building that he covered in the color purple. Curbed.com calls it “Willy Wonka’s sock.”

One of the website’s writers, Jeremiah Budin, gave our Ugliest Buildings contest a thumbs-up – and suggested the crazy-colored Cornelia Street building as a nominee.

The inspiration for the eye-popping facade might have been “the Candyland national flag” or some other tongue-in-cheek possibilities, a Curbed.com posting said.

We saw wince-worthy properties on the block where it’s located – like a numbingly bland gray-brick development. But the Purple One (apologies to Prince) reigns as far as ugliness goes.
