Brooklyn Law’s Dean
Reaches Out To Help Service Veterans

Brooklyn Law School has really been on the move since the arrival a few years back of Dean Rick Allard.  He’s taken the lead in pioneering a more realistic two-year program to replace the traditional three-year period and shown the kind of initiative needed if law schools are to survive current trends in outsourcing and increased technological dependence have combined to sharply reduce available legal employment.

His latest initiative is titled “Fighting for Veterans: Meeting the need for Legal Services in New York City.”  Offering three CLE credits, the session will be held Wednesday, April 9, starting at 9 a.m. with a light breakfast at Brooklyn Law’s Subotnick Center, 250 Joralemon St.

Thousands of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans throughout this area need help in connection with service-related problems, especially in the areas of real estate and housing as well as benefits they are due.  Attorneys who understand this would do well to take part.by visiting www.brooklaw.edu/veteran.
