Yusuf Farraj one of the top players on the PYO Ravens in Parkville’s Full Tackle Football League, opened this contest with a slick interception, setting himself up for a 12-yard run to draw first blood.

After a grueling battle down field, Faraj scored again, flashing a 12-zip on the score board. The only spark in the first half except for the battle on the line came from Robert “Pay Dirt” Lay who made a fumble recovery with 40 seconds remaining.

The Ravens continued their assault in the second half with a 17-yard TD pass from Anthony “Can Do” Zullo to Hassan Farraj. Jack Cisek made it 20-zip with a beautiful two-point kick. A complete shutout was prevented by a two point safety.

Outstanding players on the Falcons in this rumble were Dominick “Torpedo” Marino, Shomar Bennett, Jason “Torpedo” Hockfeld, Daniel “Bone Breaker” Dasaro, Joshua Torres and Charles Corbin.

On the Ravens, the players who are the “Meat and Potatoes” on the squad that stepped up their game for the big win are Mohamed Elgerush, Alex Vega Jr, Jason “Pit Bull” Farici, Jack Cisek and Justin Bungos.

The Minor division was in good form with a 13-zip victory for the PYO Raiders. The score board was controlled by the Raiders in the first half, beginning with Robert “Sun Dance” Ferraioli. A spectacular 35-yard touchdown punt return and the point after go to his credit. Jack “Sizzler” Ryan followed by muscling five yards to pay dirt, setting the tally at 13-0.

Jacob Gil made a fumble recovery, setting up the Raiders for another fierce drive. But the Browns’ defensive line refused to let them score again. Joseph Dasaro, John “Bull Dog” Von Weken, Ryan Lamidi and Matthew Velez would not yield an inch.

The Browns got as close as the four yard line and that’s all she wrote. The Raiders’ defense had as much determination as the Browns’, especially Nicholas “Lion Heart” Mendez and Niko Skoda. These players were awesome and kept the Browns out of the end zone. Other players that met the challenge on the Raiders were Joshua and Julien DelaCruz.
