Schumer wants New York to host another Super Bowl
The Denver Broncos probably didn’t think Super Bowl XLVIII was much fun, not after the 43-8 drubbing they suffered at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. But to U.S. Senator Schumer, the event was a smashing success.
It was so successful, according to Schumer, that he thinks the New York-New Jersey region should get the chance to host another Super Bowl.
Schumer said that not only was the Super Bowl itself a big hit with the NFL and with football fans, but the Super Bowl week festivities, including “Super Bowl Boulevard” in Times Square, drew large crowds and brought in important tourism dollars.
