What do you think about the city’s possible ban on Styrofoam cups and containers?

“It’s good for the environment so I think it would be a great move.”

Leigh A.

Staten Island

“I try to be as green as possible, so it’s probably a good idea. It means less garbage. And those materials aren’t biodegradable.”

Diane B.

Bay Ridge

“I’ve never had really had an opinion on Styrofoam but I know it’s bad for the environment. So it could be a good thing.”

Kevin F.

Bay Ridge

“I think it’s an excellent idea. I prefer never to use Styrofoam cups just for safety reasons. They have these little loose specks inside them. I agree with Mayor Bloomberg on this one.”

Ann G.

Bay Ridge

“The mayor is a fool. Who is he to say what we can and can’t use?”

Daniela C.

Bay Ridge

“Mayor Bloomberg tries to make this a Communist country. We pay taxes. I don’t even like Styrofoam but it should be our right to use it.”

Dawn H.

Bay Ridge

“I think it’s a very good thing. They can’t decompose.”

Rebecca S.

Bay Ridge

“Absolutely it’s a good idea. Anything that helps the environment.”

Zeeva V.
