Tired of jousting with crowds for Black Friday bargains? Why not use your holiday cash this year at favorite neighborhood stores on Small Business Saturday and spend the Friday after Thanksgiving catching up on some gallery-hopping?
The most entertaining show in town is the Brooklyn Museum’s eye-popping exhibition of Jean Paul Gaultier’s fashion designs. The bad boy of Parisian haute couture designed the racy cone-shaped bras Madonna wore during her 1990 “Blonde Ambition” Tour, popularized gender-bending designs such as skirts for men and dressed movie stars like Catherine Deneuve. His provocative and ground-breaking work is loads of fun to look at.
