New York City police say four men have been arrested on assault charges after a 24-year-old pedestrian was punched in the face.

Police are investigating whether it was a so-called game called “knockout.” The object is to knock out an unsuspecting person with one punch.

Police say the man was walking in Borough Park around 2:45 a.m. Friday when he was struck once. He was not seriously injured.

Police say the victim identified the suspects to police.

The suspects range in age from 28 to 38. Police say the hate crimes task force is investigating because the victim is Jewish.

Police said there have been seven other incidents recently that may fit the pattern of the game. No other arrests have been made.
