JFK’s Sheepshead Bay painting to be auctioned off on 50th anniversary of assassination
This painting of Sheepshead Bay was created by John F. Kennedy when he was campaigning for president in Brooklyn in 1960. The painting will be auctioned on Friday, Nov. 22 – the anniversary of his assassination in Dallas — as part of “The Legends Auction” by John McInnis auctioneers, located in Amesbury, Mass. Also for sale are two companion pieces by JFK, one of the nearby Marine Parkway Bridge and another of boats in the bay at sunset.
