BAM and IFC announce the lineup for the Oct. 10 installment of Get It Out There: Comedy by BAM & IFC. Beginning at 9 p.m. (bar opens at 8 p.m.) in BAMcafé (30 Lafayette Ave) the event features Tom Shillue (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, former correspondent on The Daily Show), Sabrina Jalees (CBC Radio One’s “Laugh Out Loud” host, Toronto Star columnist), and Ted Travelstead (Funny or Die, author of The Petraeus Files). Curated by Caroline Creaghead (Creaghead & Company), the night will be hosted by Josh Gondelman (Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, McSweeney’s).
Started in 2012, this monthly comedy showcase—free and open to the public—encourages comics to experiment recklessly with humor by testing out fresh material and probing the depths of their twisted souls for new forms of funny. Past guests have included Sarah Silverman, Colin Quinn, Judah Friedlander, and Jon Glaser, with surprise guests dropping in at several events.
