NYC announces Wi-Fi, broadband initiatives for all 5 boroughs

New York City is announcing initiatives to expand wireless and broadband connectivity.
The plans include free public Wi-Fi in 10 commercial districts in all five boroughs, starting in December.
The city also announced the launch Monday of WiredNYC. That program is designed to encourage and accelerate the deployment of broadband technologies for office buildings.
