The Board of Elections says it’s experiencing problems at some polling sites around New York City.

One New Yorker says voters were being handed paper ballots at an East Village polling place because of what they were told was a computer glitch.

Stephanie Forman says about 30 election workers were sitting around at the NYU Brittany Hall site. The marketing strategist says they did not know when the problem would be fixed.

The Board of Elections was unaware of the problem but said it would look into it. It also is monitoring Twitter reports from voters.

It says most of the problems concerned voting machines in Queens and Brooklyn and some in Manhattan.

The city is using old mechanical lever machines in Tuesday’s primary elections.
