Statue vandalized at Our Lady of Consolation

On Tuesday, August 20 at about 7 a.m., parishioners entering Our Lady of Solace Consolation Catholic Church got a unpleasant surprise.
Someone knocked a five foot statue of an angel off its base, causing it to shatter on the ground in front of the Metropolitan Avenue Church. Th 90th Precinct is classifying the incident as criminal mischief.
