MEEOWS MEEEOWS...HEY JUDE —Scratch, an adult female, medium size, domestic short hair, brown tabby, resides at BROOKLYN ANIMAL RESOURCE COALITION (BARC), a non-kill shelter; her human companion could no longer care for her.

“This frisky feline can be very playful—she loves to gallop around chasing toys, but she enjoys just chillin’. She needs to be the alpha cat. In an appealing way, she watches out for her fellow felines, and shows concern when a kitten squeals while getting vaccinated. She is ideal for someone who likes a “cat-titude” and might settle down in a home with a male cat.

“We at BARC would not recommend that she live with another female cat or with children. She does sporadically live up to her name. In spite of this, Scratch is likely to settle down once she is in a new home where she feels safe and comfortable. Contact:  [email protected]  Thanks for your help.”

PRAYER REQUEST: “Charlie, Frisky, Linda, Eddie and all of the other kitties are in my thoughts and prayers. Charlie is such a beauty. May God bless him. If it is any comfort, I had a cat named Sugar who lived for many quality years with diabetes.” – Sincerely,  Cat

HAMSTERS TO THE RESCUE:  Robo Hamster Balls could help our farms flourish… Spanish researchers, specifically the Robotics and Cybernetics Research Group from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, are tackling the difficult task of how to check soil moisture levels in ranch farms.

They became intrigued by how hamsters shift their weight to get their exercise balls moving, and how it allows them to turn corners with ease.  Read more: care2.com/causes/robo-hamster-balls-could-help-our-farms-flourish.html#ixzz2aBUUGLjN.
