It’s never too late to start going green in your daily routines! Senator Kevin Parker is sponsoring a “Going Green, Let’s Conserve Day” today from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The event will take place at Senator Parker’s office, located at 1300 Flatbush Avenue.
The Brooklyn Children’s Museum, located at 145 Brooklyn Avenue, will be holding a free Family Jam Series to the public. From 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m, DJ Kakez in the Café will be performing, and from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. the Big Blocks Party will also be taking place. From 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. there will be a BIG Collection; and from 6 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. a “Dance and Drums of Africa” performance will be held.
Hit the stage and sing your heart out because the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting an Open Stage Open-Mic series. On the first Friday of every month, adults can perform their numbers from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The venue is located at 58 7th Avenue.
