Would-be kidnapper in Carroll Gardens arrested by cops
The suspect wanted for allegedly grabbing, pistol-whipping, and attempting to drag a 27-year-old woman into his waiting car has been arrested by 76th Precinct cops, said the police.
Officers arrested Willie Weathers, 42, at around 10 p.m. on Monday, July 29 — less than a day after the attack at 2nd Place and Court Street occurred — after the woman, who had fought back and screamed during the assault, picked him out of a lineup.
Weathers has been charged with “kidnapping, assault, and gun charges.”
