Daily To-Do: Monday, July 29
Have a knack for arranging flowers in unique, beautiful designs? Attend the Advanced Floral Arrangements class tonight, Monday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. In this class, participants will step away from the traditional grid often used to guide floral arrangements and, instead, create them using a “freehand” style. Those in attendance will take home their own designed and handcrafted arrangements made during the class’s duration. The class will take place at Brooklyn Brainery Prospect Heights, located at 190 Underhill Avenue. The cost for the class is $80 and will approximately end at 8:30 p.m.
NYS Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation and Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG) have teamed together and are pleased to announce a series of family-fun films this summer season. Tonight’s featured family film is Disney-Pixar’s “UP.” Free and open to the public, the movie will begin at 6 p.m., and the night’s festivities will end approximately at 10 p.m. This free movie will be shown at East River State Park, located at Kent Avenue and North 7th Street.
Do you like to drink and also learn new things? Well then you are in for a treat when the Masters of Social Gastronomy discuss the history and science behind cocktails. This unique lesson will be held tonight at the Brooklyn Kitchen, 100 Frost Street. There will be a $5 admission entry fee that includes two drink tickets. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at approximately at 8 p.m.
