Flatbush woman dies in police custody
Early on the morning of Sunday, July 21, a woman arrested by the 70th Precinct for a verbal dispute two days earlier died in police custody.
“My daughter is dead for no reason,” stated Anita Neal, the mother of the 37-year-old woman, Kyam Livingston.
Police arrived on Stratford Road at 12:47 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 in response to a domestic dispute call from Livingston’s grandmother. Livingston, who was allegedly intoxicated, was suspected of having violated her grandmother’s order of protection against her, in place as of July 8, and was arrested at the scene.
