For the fifth year in a row, there will be a Greenmarket on Lutheran Lane every Thursday, now through November 14.

Made possible by Lutheran HealthCare and Harvest Home Farmer’s Market, Inc., the open air market features farm fresh vegetables, seasonal fruits, organic baked goods and other produce from New York area farmers.

Fresh fruits that are available include yellow, white and Saturn peaches; yellow and white nectarines; apricots; Shiro, Metley, Rosa and Italian plums; cherries; Ginger Gold, Gala, Empire, Macoun, Iona Gold, Cameo, Fortune, Braeburn, Winesap, Mutzu, Cortland, Fuji, Granny Smith, Honey Crisp and McIntosh apples; and Bartlett, Seckel, Bosc and Clap Comice pears.

Meat-lovers can also get their fix at the farmer’s market. Pastrami, maple glazed smoked ham, lamb sausage with black olives, hickory Italian sausage, English bangers, duck fennel sausage, country pate, chicken chorizo and bratwurst are also for sale.

To help increase access for more area residents, the market can redeem most meal and benefit programs including WIC Farmer’s Checks, Senior Farmer Market checks, Health Bucks and Food Stamps (EBT).

The Greenmarket will be open every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Lutheran Lane, 55th Street between First and Second Avenues, until November 14.
