Rockabus to adjust bus route to avoid traffic delays and increase service

Rockabus service from Williamsburg and Grand Army Plaza to the Rockaways is picking up steam now that summer is here. However, after :three great weekends and a really nice write-up in the New York Times, we’re shaking things up a bit.”

The service will now be stopping at both Rockaway Beach and Jacob Riis Park, instead of one or the other. The rationale goes like this:

  1. Reliability. By stopping at both beaches, our buses will spend less time in traffic on the BQE and Belt Parkway, which means fewer delays and a better overall experience for all of our passengers.
  2. More choice. By combining these routes, there will now be four buses going to both beaches before 2pm and four buses heading back home after 2pm. Previously, there were only three buses each way.

As always, tickets can be purchased at https://rockabus.com.
