Nearly 16 months after being shot in the head while responding to a 9-1-1 call at 24 Humboldt Street in Williamsburg, Sergeant Kevin Brennan is back on the job and successfully arresting suspects wanted for armed robberies.

On Tuesday, May 28 at 1 p.m., Brennan, of the NYPD’s Intelligence Division, and 90th Precinct Police Officer Michael Burbridge had just completed a walk-through of the same building where Brennan had been shot when Burbridge recognized two men who were wanted for a recent robbery in neighboring Bushwick (within the 83rd Precinct). A loaded 9mm handgun was discovered in the waistband of one of the suspects as they were being arrested.

Bushwick teen David Roman, 17, and 23-year-old Tyrrell Woods from Staten Island were arrested and charged with robbery and criminal use of a firearm.
