After 3.5 months, the NYPD has arrested a suspect in the case of a 22-year-old woman rapedĀ on February 2 in an alley near Brooklyn College, where the assault was caught on surveillance video.

Eric Dancy, 25, of Cobble Hill, was arrested yesterday — May 16 — near his home. He has been charged with 26 counts of various felonies and misdemeanors. These include charges of rape, attempted rape, committing a criminal sex act, grand and petit larceny, assault, robbery, criminal possession of stolen property, and sexual abuse.

The rape, which was reportedly caught on surveillance video, took place near East 27th Street and Glenwood Road. The victim was forced into the alley from the main street and raped, after which her cell phone was stolen, ostensibly to prevent her from calling for help.
