There’s nothing like a little spring cleaning to brush away gloomy winter, sad news, and stray garbage littering the street.

That’s why this Saturday, April 20, is the perfect time for the Spring Civic Sweep to return to the streets of Park Slope. Organized by the Park Slope Civic Council, the annual event welcomes residents out to spruce up Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh Avenues with some litter pick-ups, weeding, mulching, and more.

Volunteers will gather at 10 a.m. at the Fifth Avenue and Third Street side of the Old Stone House/JJ Byrne Playground/Washington Park. The event continues to 2 p.m. and volunteers can stay for as long or as short as they are able.
