Despite being hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, the Brooklyn business community is still thriving, according to the organizers behind an upcoming trade show that will bring entrepreneurs and business owners together to discuss marketing strategies and networking opportunities.

The trade show, called Trade Brooklyn, will be held on Wednesday, April 10, at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The business-to-business conference, which is being presented by Cardinal Trade Group, will unite business owners and professionals with industry leaders and provide tips on such vital resources as networking, marketing and product/service promotion, organizers said.

“Trade Brooklyn has become the ‘go to’ business event of the spring,” Trade Brooklyn Founder Jonathan Levin said. “This year’s spring show will attract a record number of attendees and a number of new exhibitors.  It is our goal to connect like-minded businesspeople and broaden their opportunities for success in the marketplace.  This is the ideal event for anyone or any company who wants to do more business in Brooklyn or the greater New York metropolitan region,” Levin said.

The exhibitors will include local businesses and national corporations from several sectors including franchises, banking, financial services, insurance, law, accounting, marketing, social media, web design, office products and services, telecommunications, wireless services, nonprofits, government, and business advocacy groups.

The day will start off with a panel of New York area entrepreneurs who will speak at a “5 Borough Business Breakfast,” from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., presented by 1010 WINS radio and TD Bank. The speakers will include Robert Walsh, commissioner of the New York City Department of Small Business Services; Carlo Scissura, president and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce; and Howard Glickberg, vice chairman of development for Fairway Markets.
