Nicole Malliotakis has long enjoyed strong ties to the New York State Conservative Party, which enthusiastically endorsed the assemblywoman for election in 2010 and re-election in 2012. Now, the national Conservative Party is beginning to take notice of her.

Malliotakis (R-C-Bay Ridge-Staten Island) has been named a “rising star” by the American Conservative Union and has been invited to speak at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C.

Malliotakis will be a panelist for CPAC’s “Top 10 Under 40” program. The conference will take place on March 14-16. US Senators Marco Rubio (R-Florida), Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) and Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) will be among the political heavyweights speaking at the conference.

“The face of politics is becoming younger by the day, and I am so excited to bring my passion and perspective as a representative of New York to CPAC,” Malliotakis said.

“As the national debt continues to skyrocket and the financial security of future generations becomes increasingly insecure, it is crucial that young people get involved and play an active role in government. Our future is at stake, and it will take fresh, new ideas to put America back on a path to prosperity,’ she said.

Malliotakis isn’t the only one who is excited about her national exposure. New York State Conservative party Chairman Mike Long said he and his members are looking forward to her appearance at CPAC.

“Nicole Malliotakis has certainly earned the label of ‘rising star’ in the conservative movement,” Long said. “Ms. Malliotakis is a dynamic and energetic presence both in her district and at the capitol, and she will make an excellent representative for both our party and our state at CPAC,” he said.
